clean it out leave no residue put it in your suitcase shoul dbe find if your not carrying weed along with it an dreally you can buy a new pipe for a few bucks just as cheap
as long as there is no traceable residue in it…you are fine.

At the very least absolutely every thing you have will be carefully scrutinized. They will feel no need to be considerate of you in the least.
You’ll likely be frisked more than others, x-rayed and they just might want to see what’s in your *****.

Probably nothing will happen; however, why not just have it mailed to yourself. Be absolutely certain that there is no residue of any contraband substance in the pipe

So, its up to the state which you are going that determines if it is legal or not.
“Drug paraphernalia” usually does not include items traditionally used with tobacco, like large-bowl pipes and cigarette rolling papers. But you would be very hard pressed to convice TSA that bowl is for tobbacco..
To answer your questions in very simple terms it is “Drug paraphernalia” and if you are caught it is a FEDERAL crime in the United States. Here in America we will give you a room, 3 meals a day at taxpayers expense for your stupid act. So please bring all your drug paraphernalia with you as it creates jobs in America to catch you, prosecute you, and in prison you.
And since you are 18 you will be tried as an adult and bared from every coming to America again.
You will get a double whammy here. First, for not declaring it to customs officials (all purchases must be stated) and secondly for having drug ‘paraphenalia’. Do not risk it !
