cabinet refinishing book recomendation?

I want tο refinish mу cabinets mу self. I hаνе lіttlе tο nο woodworking experience. I аm аn experienced electrician though, ѕο i hаνе nο problems wіth basic hand tools οr tasks.

Whаt іѕ a gοοd book series tο υѕе. One wіth diagrams аnd step-bу-step instructions іѕ appreciated.

In large measure it depends on the current substance and finish; for anyone to validly advise.

Obviously if natural wood, and/or with a stain and clear coat; the process will include stripping; sanding; new hardware perhaps.

I suspect BOOKS number in the thousands for re-finishing; and can be found here; at a library; a BIG box home store; etc. In any case it can be tedious.

I agree with the contractor above about the process and that there are literally thousands of books to choose from. But, I really think the Sunset books are about the most useful because they provide materials lists, diagrams and photographs, troubleshooting when problems ocurr and are very detail oriented. You find them near the front of the store in both Lowes and Home Depot.
